Liz Heredia Comes to Us from San Antonio

Liz Heredia comes to us from San Antonio, Texas, where she and her mother regularly visited the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower there. She was noticed by one of our Carmelite Friars at Mass, who asked her if she ever thought about entering Carmel. Liz responded with a resounding “No!” Two years later, after having often taken courses by our Carmelite Friars at the Shrine, she was again asked if she ever thought of entering Carmel. This time, she responded, “Yes!

Liz wished to enter Carmel on a feast of Our Lady, but had not expressed her wish to anyone. It was providential that she entered on April 4, which was the Feast of the Annunciation this year.

Liz’s reputation for being a lovable person is evident in her approach to her daily tasks. Her simple, kind, compassionate, docile and open temperament is a wonderful asset to our community.
